Creating ceremonies that celebrate your loved one's life journey
I am Anne, an Independent Celebrant, certified through AMC. The ceremonies I write are crafted wholly from the stories you share and the memories you hold dear; simply put, warm, personal ceremonies in your words and in your way.

A caring, familiar voice for your family
I am from Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. I am a mum and a carer. I have certification in counselling skills, mentoring, loss, grief and bereavement and autism.
I enjoy walks in nature, music, reading, writing, and most importantly, hearing others’ stories.
As an Independent Celebrant, I can provide traditional Funeral Services enriched with personal touches and meaningful stories that reflect your loved one’s life journey
If you prefer, I can provide a Celebration of Life service that showcases your loved one’s most memorable, humorous, and touching moments.
Ceremonies where everyone feels welcome
As the mum of two autistic young adults, I know how important it is that everyone feels comfortable and included on such a difficult day.
I’d love to offer that understanding to your family too.
I’ll take the time to learn what each of your family members needs and shape a ceremony that feels safe, calm and familiar for everyone, while still telling your loved one’s story beautifully.

Gentle answers, whenever you need them
If your question isn't here, please just ask. Nothing is too small.
Ask me a QuestionWhat's the difference between a funeral, a celebration of life, and a memorial service?
A funeral is more traditional, with mainly religious elements and small personal touches. A celebration of life is more person-centred, reflecting all aspects of the loved one’s life and achievements. A memorial service is held when and where the family prefers, usually after a direct cremation.
Which areas do you cover?
I’m based in Coatbridge and cover North Lanarkshire and the surrounding area. If you’re a little further afield, please still get in touch, I’ll always try to help.
Can the ceremony be non-religious?
Absolutely. I create inclusive ceremonies that reflect your family and your loved one, religious, non-religious, or a gentle blend of both. It’s entirely your choice.
Can you support neurodiverse family members?
Yes, and I’d be glad to. I’m the mum of two autistic young adults and hold additional certification in autism. I’ll take the time to understand what your family needs and adapt the ceremony so everyone feels calm, safe and included.
How far in advance should I contact you?
As soon as you feel able. Ceremonies often come together in just a few days, and I’ll always do my best to help at short notice. There’s no pressure at our first conversation.
What happens after I get in touch?
We’ll arrange a gentle chat, in person, by phone or online. I’ll listen to your memories, gather the details, liaise with your Funeral Director, and write the service together with you.
Do you work with our Funeral Director?
Yes. I liaise directly with your Funeral Director throughout, so the arrangements feel seamless and you have one less thing to think about.
Will I get a copy of the eulogy?
Yes, a copy of the eulogy is included for you to keep. Many families treasure it as a lasting record of their loved one’s story.
